GT Le Mans class to end at conclusion of 2021 WeatherTech Championship season...
IMSA has confirmed the introduction of the GT Daytona Pro class to the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship beginning in 2022, with GT3-spec cars replacing GTE machinery in the all-pro production-based ranks.
Announced Thursday ahead of this year’s season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona, the new category will be eligible to factory driver and team lineups along with the allowance of customer teams.
