I guess Ford is out for now, which is not be a big surprise as they only make one "car" the Mustang, Although the hybrid format suits their power-train direction.
There may be some styling cues but I doubt there will be anything resembling a road car in LMDh. I think they will more resemble prototypes or the current hypercar entries in the WEC. There is no need for the cars to resemble 911's or R8's as those cars are already represented in multiple international racing series as GT3's.
LMDh and Hypercar are opportunities for the automakers to go outside the box of the road car silhouette and present their vision of a top-tier race car that takes all advantages of the aero package the category allows.
